Refund and Cancellation Policy
StudyRaah XI-XII was earlier called StudyBuddy XI-XII. Only the name has changed: every account, password, plan and record continues exactly as before, and this page applies to them in the same way.
In short: a plan is paid for by a parent or guardian, or by the student's professor, tuition teacher or coaching class (a “group payment”). Whoever paid gets the money back if they pay by mistake, pay twice, or pay and the plan is not switched on. A 6-month plan can also be cancelled for a full refund within 7 days.
Paid plans are not on sale yet. This policy will apply from the day they start, for plans bought by families and for group payments. Until then, any Pro access the admin gives is free and has no refund value.
1. What you are buying
A plan gives one student access to digital study material (mock tests, board papers, AI help, one-page PDFs, complex sums and textbook solutions) for a set period: Monthly ₹249 or 6 months ₹1,195. A professor, tuition teacher or coaching class paying for several students in one order pays a lower price per student, as set out in the Terms of Use (section 5). Access starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. Plans do not renew automatically.
2. When you get a refund
- Paid twice for the same plan, or a payment made by a student without a parent or guardian's knowledge: the payment is refunded in full.
- Paid but the plan was not switched on within 48 hours (for group payments, within 2 working days of entering the payment reference): we will switch it on or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.
- 6-month plan cancelled within 7 days of it being switched on: full refund.
- A fault on our side that stops you using the paid features for a long period and that we cannot fix: a refund for the unused part of your plan.
3. When we do not refund
- A Monthly plan once it has started, or a 6-month plan after the first 7 days, for a change of mind or less use than you expected.
- Free plans, which carry no payment.
- Plans on an account that was closed for breaking the Terms of Use.
- Plans lost because the student deleted their account. Deleting an account ends its plan.
4. Group payments by a professor, tuition teacher or coaching class
- Who gets the refund: the payer (the professor, tuition teacher or coaching class), not the students or their families. Only the payer can ask for it.
- Payment not found: if we cannot find the payment in our account, we tell the payer and do not switch on the plans. Nothing is charged, and the payer can check the reference number and send it again.
- Wrong amount paid: if less than the amount shown was paid, we ask the payer to pay the difference or refund what was paid; the plans are switched on only when the full amount is received. If more was paid, we refund the extra.
- Cancelling a 6-month group order within 7 days of it being switched on: a full refund for the whole order or for some of its students. The plans of those students then end, and we tell each of them.
- After that: a group plan stays with the student for its full period. There is no refund if a student later leaves the class, stops attending, or deletes their account, and a plan cannot be moved to another student.
- Students and families: a plan paid by a class is never charged to the student or their family. If a group refund ends a student's plan, the family may buy their own plan; we do not take away a plan without telling the student first.
5. How to ask
Families: the parent or guardian should email siddharthperti@gmail.com from the email address on the student's account, with the student's StudyRaah name and the payment details (date, amount and reference).
Group payments: the payer should email from the email address on their professor or class account, with the order number shown on their dashboard, the payment reference number and, for a part refund, the names of the students.
We will reply within 2 working days.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to the same payment method or UPI account the payment came from. They normally arrive within 5 to 7 working days of approval, depending on the bank or payment app.
7. Cancelling
Because plans do not renew by themselves, there is nothing to cancel: a plan simply ends on its end date. After it ends, there are 15 days to renew before the account becomes view-only. A group order that has not been paid yet can be cancelled by the payer from their dashboard at any time.
